Airmata Seorang Mahathir & Aku Berani Gagal

Di dalam pertemuan pada 11 Jun 2014, selepas Tun M menurunkan tandatangan di atas gitar kesayangan saya, beliau meminta saya menyanyikan lagu yang saya cipta khas untuk beliau iaitu 'Airmata Seorang Mahathir'. Saya terperanjat kerana tujuan saya membawa gitar tersebut adalah semata-mata untuk mendapatkan tandatangan autograf beliau. Sebenarnya saya tidak membuat apa-apa persediaan untuk itu tetapi saya nyanyikan juga lagu itu. Jelas beliau sebak mendengar saya mendendangkan lagu Airmata Seorang Mahathir. Selepas habis lagu itu, beliau meminta saya menyanyi lagi dan saya menyanyikan pula lagu 'Aku Berani Gagal'. Beliau bertepuk tangan dan meminta saya menyanyi lagi.... Lebih 1 jam saya duduk berbual dan menyanyi bersama Tun M. Sesungguhnya itulah pengalaman terhebat saya sebagai seorang pemuzik, pencipta lagu dan penyanyi.

Nazz Abdul Aziz Bertemu Tun Dr. Mahathir

11 Jun 2014 adalah tarikh keramat buat saya apabila YABhg. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad (Tun M) bersetuju untuk bertemu dengan saya atas kapasiti saya sebagai seorang pemuzik dan pencipta lagu. Debaran di dada saya memang tidak terkawal apabila jam 4 petang nama saya dipanggil untuk memasuki pejabat Tun M di Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya. Saya bersama 3 orang rakan iaitu Ayie, Shark & Razufy melangkah masuk ke pejabat Tun M sambil diiringi oleh pegawai protokol dan anggota polis. Razufy yang membawa gitar kesayangan saya menggelabah sehingga gitar itu terhantuk pada pintu masuk. Bunyi dentuman itu membuatkan saya bertambah gemuruh. Melangkah masuk ke dalam pejabat, saya memberi salam kepada Tun M.

"Waalaikum salam Datuk Seri". Tun M menjawab salam saya.

Saya panik apabila Tun memanggil saya dengan gelaran 'Datuk Seri'. Saya katakan kepada beliau bahawa saya adalah orang kampung,, orang kebanyakan. Kata beliau, nama saya sama dengan nama Menteri Pelancongan Malaysia, sebab itu dia panggil saya Datuk Seri. Kami pun ketawa dan sememangnya itu adalah pendekatan Tun M untuk memulakan suasana pertemuan yang ceria. Terasa bangga juga bila Tun M memanggil saya dengan gelaran Datuk Seri... hehe :)
